A guided tour of the Studio-Archive of Cesare Leonardi
Duration
1 hour
Your experience in brief
Guided visit to the studio-archive of architect and designer Cesare Leonardi, among projects, drawings, and original materials.
In the Modena West Artisan Village, the first artisan village in Italy, stands the house-studio of Cesare Leonardi. He moved here in the late 1980s, renovating a small house-workshop and expanding it to create his architecture studio and family home. Even today, entering Cesare Leonardi’s studio-laboratory—semi-hidden beneath a canopy of trees and climbing plants—means being suddenly immersed in an astonishing world.
Shelves overflowing with books, movable and vividly colored sculptures, fiberglass prototypes, architectural models, painted canvases, photographic compositions, and small wooden armchairs on wheels with seemingly whimsical shapes, each one different from the next.
