Walking through Bologna’s urban regeneration – ‘Passo dopo Passo’ Fair special

A guided city walk focusing on the urban regeneration of Bologna, organised in collaboration with the FuoriVia association. The route starts at DumBO, an emblematic example of urban regeneration through the reuse of disused industrial spaces, and passes by several sites that have transformed parts of the city in recent years: the former Dynamo cycle station, the Cassero LGBTQ+ Centre and several new public buildings in the Navile area designed by the Mario Cucinella studio (including Palazzo Bonaccorso, Casa della Comunità Navile and Casa di Quartiere Katia Bertasi).

During the walk, there will be short talks and storytelling sessions by local organisations, reflecting on different models of urban transformation: grassroots initiatives and projects promoted by institutions.

At 10:00 am, there will also be the opening of the photographic exhibition “Camminare l’Est” curated by the FuoriVia association, hosted in the DumBO spaces. The walk will start immediately afterwards.

Before booking, please bear in mind that:

• Pets are allowed, but must be kept on a lead and under the owner’s responsibility
• Comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for urban walking are recommended. The activity will take place even in light rain
