The Soul Museum is located in the centre of Porretta Terme and collects testimonies of the stay in the town of great Soul artists through displays of stage clothes, shoes or other personal objects. The photo and audiovisual collection is also extensive.
Ever since 1988, in fact, the Porretta Soul Festival, A Tribute to Otis Redding has become the most prestigious event on a European level dedicated entirely to soul and rhythm&blues music with particular reference to Memphis Sound, the strain of soul of the great Otis Redding.
