Description
Meet the wolf as you uncover its fascinating connection to forest life! Contrary to what is shown in fairy tales, wolves shouldn't be regarded as dangerous creatures, but rather as important animals for the ecosystem. Together, we will walk along the same paths travelled by wolves, hunting for traces of their presence.
A short trek of about 6 km in the suggestive Parco Storico di Monte Sole will allow you to live a unique experience in close contact with nature and its wild residents!
The day will begin with a short circular walk along a section of the Via Della Lana e della Seta (Wool and Silk Route).
During the walk, we will examine the tracks of wolves and other wild animals. Participants will learn how to recognise the presence and passage of wild animals along mountain trails. We will also discuss basic camera trapping techniques. At the end of the walk, at the Montagò restaurant, there will be an educational session with a screening of previously unseen images and videos about the presence of wolves. The outing will be led by Giovanni Rossi, a nature guide, together with Antonella Piccirilli, a naturalist, biologist and activist with “Io non ho paura del lupo” (I'm not afraid of wolves), an association that has been active for years in dissemination and field research.
For dinner, there will be a special pizza menu at the Montagò restaurant: a pizza of your choice and beer for €15 (à la carte menu also available).
The cost of dinner is not included in the price of the experience, so payment will be made directly at the cash desk at the end of the meal.
