In Hora Amoris

In Hora Amoris is a project by the artist Samantha Stella, originally conceived for the Museum House of Palazzo Tozzoni. The artist herself, impressed by the romance between the countess Orsola Bandini and Giorgio Barbato Tizzoni, sought to reconsider it in the light of the other touching love story between the poet and painter Dante Gabriel Rossetti and his leading light Elizabeth Eleanor Siddal. By means of a poetic reading-performance through the palace’s halls, Samantha Stella gives voice to the two ladies Orsola and Elizabeth, enabling them to tell their immortal stories in all their modernity. The artistic project was conceived specifically for Palazzo Tozzoni by the Musei Civici di Imola together with the association Il Pomo DaDamo Contemporary Art of Imola. The video, recorded by the artist and meant to be the very focus of the performance, can be watched inside Palazzo Tozzoni.
