MUSEUM IS CLOSED
Dedicated to the Roman period, the Calderara venue of the Archaeological Environment Museum opened in 2012 in the civic centre “Spazio Reno”. The area contains many archaeological remains from the Calderara's territory. The exhibition is housed in a picturesque setting, which reconstructs the interior of a rustic building and offers visitors the chance to take up a dip into the past. A setting that allows you to find yourself in a context of everyday life of the Roman period.
The exhibition highlights the territorial organization in Roman times, the housing typologies and building techniques, production activities and object of everyday life. There are several household articles, the remains of paving and the materials used for the construction of the rustic building discovered during the archaeological excavations conducted in the North caves, located in Lippo (5,5 kms from Calderara).
