Bologna
The Museo Ottocento Bologna, officially inaugurated on Thursday 20 April at 6pm, consists of 12 exhibition sections with a permanent collection of 85 works divided into thematic cores, including oil paintings, watercolours, drawings and sketches, documenting the main stylistic currents of the "long century" of the Bologna area.
The exhibition itinerary starts around the middle of the century through works by Bolognese artists such as Giovanni Paolo Bedini, Luigi Busi, Fabio Fabbi, Mario De Maria, Alfredo Protti and many others.
In addition to the permanent collection the museum will organise meetings open to the public, conferences, study days and temporary exhibitions.
Museo Ottocento Bologna is sponsored by the Municipality of Bologna and is part of a nationwide project with the aim of establishing a dialogue with major Italian institutions.

Insights
The Museum is a non-profit organisation and its main objective will be to protect and promote artistic, book and archive collections and any other evidence of the activities of artists, especially those from the Bologna area, born between the 19th and 20th centuries.
The Amici del Museo Ottocento Bologna initiative will allow interested parties to support the institution's artistic activities and cultural programmes.
