The twentieth edition of Future Film Festival - the International Festival of Cinema, Animation and New Technologies - takes shape thanks to its new sections: the competitive section of VR, which will propose the best international works created for virtual reality, and the "SmartMovies" section, dedicated to films produced with smartphones. The competition sections remain stable: the Platinum Grand Prize, a competition for feature films and the Future Film Short, an international short film competition. This year too, the festival proposes the section “Night Madness” and the unfailing Future Film Kids section with premieres and animation workshops for children. International guests will be present for conventions and workshops, b2b meetings and matinèe for schools. The big news of 2018 is "Make it happen - indie design days" at the Sympò-Bologna, an event for all producers, who come together to transform ideas and visions into reality.
