Teatro | Teatro Arena del Sole

From 1 to 5 December 2025, Teatro Arena del Sole hosts Teatro, an immersive, site-specific performance exploring the hidden spaces of the theatre building — a special format conceived by the Italo-Australian duo Cuocolo/Bosetti.

Wearing headphones, audience members wander through corridors, venture backstage, and walk across the stage itself, guided on a journey through rarely seen or completely unknown areas of the theatre.

It’s a path for reflecting on the meaning and temporality of theatre, led by the rhythms of a female voice. “It’s a woman who walks and thinks,” the duo writes. “She has a theatre in her head. […] She creates imaginary landscapes that blend reality and fiction, and become a refuge for a collective identity.”

The piece is part of a series of performative itineraries built on the fusion of truth and fiction — a distinctive signature of Cuocolo/Bosetti, whose works are conceived as “reality traps” where art and life, actor and character, continuously overlap.
