Experience an unprecedented side of Bologna while visiting the exhibition 'Julius II and Raphael: a new season of the Renaissance in Bologna' along with the permanent collections of the Pinacoteca Nazionale di Bologna.
The exhibition, open from 8 October to 5 February 2023, is designed to recall Bologna's artistic splendour from the age of the Bentivoglio family to the coronation of Charles V. As part of the attraction, you will be able to admire, one of Raphael's greatest masterpieces, 'The Portrait of Pope Julius II della Rovere', which is exceptionally on loan from the National Gallery in London.
Alongside the exhibition, take a chance to visit the extensive permanent collections of the Pinacoteca, featuring some of the most important Italian masterpieces from the 13th to the 18th century, and don't forget to stop off in the beautifully frescoed rooms of Palazzo Pepoli Campogrande.
