From May 17 to 19, the sound of single-seaters returns to Imola, one of the most technical circuits in the world.
The historic circuit on the banks of the Santerno River first hosted the Italian GP in 1980 to replace Monza. Since 1981, the San Marino GP has been on the calendar, which will run for 26 editions until 2006. The Tosa and Rivazza curves have been the scene of legendary challenges that have thrilled fans for years. F1's greatest champions have raced on this track, starting with Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, Nigel Mansell, and Riccardo Patrese.
The record of victories belongs to Michael Schumacher who crossed the finish line first as many as 7 times.
