From 9 June to 13 July 2026, Pianofortissimo & Talenti returns to Bologna, the summer music festival presented by Bologna Festival, bringing outstanding live performances to some of the city's most evocative venues.
Thirteen open-air concerts will take place in the Courtyard of the Archiginnasio, the Church of Santa Cristina della Fondazza, and the National Etruscan Museum “Pompeo Aria” in Marzabotto, offering audiences the opportunity to experience great music in settings of remarkable historical and artistic significance. The programme ranges from classical music and opera to jazz and contemporary sounds, featuring internationally acclaimed performers alongside emerging young talents from around the world.
A hallmark of the festival is its focus on the next generation of musicians, showcasing prize-winning artists from leading international competitions and promising performers making their Bologna debut. The result is a rich musical journey that brings together tradition and innovation, diverse styles, and different artistic perspectives.
Organised by Bologna Festival in collaboration with Inedita per la Cultura as part of the Bologna Estate 2026 programme, Pianofortissimo & Talenti is one of the highlights of Bologna’s summer cultural calendar, combining world-class music with the unique atmosphere of some of the area's most iconic venues.
