Occhi lucenti e belli is a musical journey that unfolds through frottole, villanelle, and madrigals of the Italian Renaissance: works by Marenzio, Contino, Ghizzolo, Capello, Turini, and Caprioli, along with a tribute to the era’s principal instrument, the lute, featuring intabulations by Vincenzo Capirola, a highly sought-after virtuoso at European courts and an innovative figure in performance techniques.
