Bologna
Sissi (Bologna, 1977) emerges at the end of the 1990s, very young and still a student at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna, revealing herself to be one of the most brilliant representatives of art in Italy. Her practice, since the very beginning, has made space for works ranging from performance to sculpture, video to photography, drawing to painting. She often mixes these artistic languages, composing work that always has a recognizable signature. The body has been a central theme for the artist, though not the only one, often elaborated in her ways of living and inhabiting the world, or in single elements that make up our anatomy.
