A great cultural proposal begins in Bologna: the widespread exhibition Painting in Bologna in the Long Nineteenth Century | 1796 - 1915. An occasion, unprecedented in Bologna for its local history, to admire 500 works in fourteen locations, with a rich calendar of initiatives including conferences, guided tours, workshops, historical re-enactments and concerts.
The extraordinary opening of the Museums, Foundations and Galleries offers the opportunity to exhibit paintings ranging from drawings to paintings on canvas and wood, touching on all subjects of art: landscapes, portraits, historical subjects, altarpieces, urban views.

The exhibition is curated by Roberto Martorelli and Isabella Stancari and features works from the collections of the Museo del Risorgimento, MAMbo and private individuals.
