 BY CAR

If you reach Bologna by car, you should be aware that the historic centre, like many Italian cities, consists largely of a restricted traffic zone (ZTL) and subjected to the activation of the 30 km/h speed limit on streets in the historic city centre.

Where to park your car

Bologna offers a variety of parking services. If you wish to access facilities within the ZTL zone, you should contact the manager of the car park or garage to obtain an entry permit.

 BY BUS 

TPER is the transport company operating in the city, as well as providing extra-urban connections in the province.

Tickets can be purchased at Tper sales points or more easily at tobacco shops and some newsagents. The price of a single ride is €1.50, valid 75 minutes from validation. When specified, tickets can also be purchased on board by credit card at the same fare, or by coins at the automatic machines for €2.



 BY TAXI

Taxis can be found at designated stations around the city and also offer service by reservation. Taxis cannot be stopped on the street. Please refer to the following companies:

 BY BIKE

RIDEMOVI is the city's bike sharing service. Download the app (Android and IOS) for more information. RIDEMOVI is complemeted by several bike rental services in the city, for example online here.

Generally, getting around by bike is even easier, with the Bicipolitana cycle routes, parking spaces in the racks scattered around the city, and widespread cycle stations. Find out more information on the Municipality's website.
