Bologna Portraits brings together a selection of photographs taken by the artist during his stays in Bologna over recent years. The central corpus of the works is made up of a series of portraits of people linked to the city. Artists, writers, entrepreneurs, businessmen, baristas, stylists, musicians, cultural figures, time-wasters, actors, etc. Around one hundred people of the most diverse ages, ranging from twenty-somethings to those over ninety, all part of the cityscape. The choice of faces to photograph was often guided by chance, as well as by the artist's closest normal acquaintances in the city. Not all are famous, but they all have a face, a stance or physical looks that struck Jacopo and that he felt the need to photograph for himself, as though this collection of works were a potential case study of portraits. The exhibition is accompanied by the book of the same name published by Damiani Editore.
