• 07:45 Meeting point inside the Bologna Bus Station, in Piazza XX Settembre, at bus shelter 25 - please be punctual
• 08:00 Departure by 28-seater coach, arrival in Mantua around 9:30
• 10:30: Palazzo Te A splendid place: from the facades to the exedra to the endless rooms that follow one another in an amazing sequence of symbols and references to the life of the Gonzaga family and the politics of the time. Giulio Romano was an artist who designed “not dwellings for men, but houses for the gods”, his “Fall of the Giants” being particularly impressive.
• Loggia delle PescherieOne of the most characteristic corners of the city, a long row of columns with a portico below. Fish caught in the Po and the lakes arrived here and was then sold at the stalls of the adjacent market.
• Piazza delle ErbeIt retains its centuries-old function as the city's commercial centre, particularly as a fruit and vegetable market. Today, the shops under the arcades make it colourful and full of life.

• 15:30: Palazzo Ducale and Castello di S.GiorgioThe Gonzaga family lived and ruled from 1328 to 1707 in the more than 500 rooms that make up the Palazzo Ducale in Mantua. Here, among courtyards, gardens and rooms, you can see Pisanello's cycle of frescoes and Mantegna's famous Camera degli Sposi (Bride and Groom's Chamber).
• 18:00 Return by coach, arriving in Bologna at around 19:30
