Description
Trivio di Porta Ravegnana (the three-way junction of Porta Ravegnana), Bologna, last years of the 13th century: there are still some premises to be demolished in the middle of the square and at the foot of the Two Towers, one of the many icons of the city’s skyline, made up of almost 90 towers and tower-houses, now belonging to the city’s pugnacious families involved in decades of struggles and fights to prevail over each other. Take this chance to stroll along the alleys of a perfectly preserved medieval Bologna, among its houses, churches, inner courts, porticoes, workshops, markets and streets between Strada Maggiore and Santo Stefano, surprisingly similar to their present-day versions.
