Pietro Trallori transforms Bologna's CRIV into a living sound organism through a 16-channel performance.
The Interdisciplinary Research Center on Voice (CRIV) presents a new event in its 2025 program with "Voicing Space," a performance by Pietro Trallori that explores the dialogue between voice and space through a 16-channel sound diffusion.
The event will take place on Sunday, March 16th at 11:30 AM, with doors opening at 11:00 AM. The performance centers around the creation of immersive, continuously metamorphosing sound environments, where Trallori manipulates a selection of vinyl records alongside electronic elements in real-time. It's an experience where architecture and sound material intertwine across technologies, exploring the architectural possibilities of CRIV's diffusion system.
Pietro Trallori is a sound designer, performer, and trumpet player whose artistic path spans various musical realms. He collaborates with the Tempo Reale Electroacoustic Ensemble and the Bologna Improvisation Group, and is part of the electronic post-rock project Edera. His sound research explores the dialogue between acoustic landscapes, multichannel diffusion, and acousmatic composition. He co-curates Suonoforma and recently released "PEM!", his debut album.
