Founded in 2023 at the “G. Verdi” Conservatory of Music in Milan, the Trio Bedřich will perform the opening concert of Musica con Vista on Wednesday, 24 June 2026 at the Civic Medieval Museum of Bologna.
The concert begins at 9:00 PM. In the true spirit of Musica con Vista, the programme offers a journey through three centuries of chamber music. It opens with Trio in E Major, K. 542 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, composed in 1788 and distinguished by its elegant serenity and rich melodic invention.
At the heart of the programme is the contemporary voice of Giovanni Sollima, whose Short Trio Stories introduces evocative atmospheres and engaging rhythms, combining narrative energy and sonic experimentation in a vibrant and compelling composition.
The concert concludes with the celebrated Trio in D Minor, Op. 49 by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, a masterpiece of the Romantic chamber repertoire, renowned for its lyrical momentum, virtuosity, and expressive intensity. Following its first public performance in 1839, with the composer himself at the piano, Robert Schumann famously declared: “Mendelssohn is the Mozart of our age, the most brilliant of musicians, the one who has most clearly understood the contradictions of his time and the first to reconcile them.”
