Lights, camera, action: Lightin’Bo Experience the festival among the arcades and squares of Bologna and admire its buildings under a different light. The most beautiful dance scenes, main characters of cult films of the '900, animate the façades of the buildings of the city, playing with the lines and architectural elements. Five places, six films and five dance styles to see the city under a different light. The first edition of Lightin’ Bo will open on 27th December and will end on 1st January. How to experience the Lightin'Bo light festival: Walk along the arcades, streets and squares of the city. Open the dance from the building or film you like best and get carried away from one place to another of the city. The places Lightin’bo winds between: Chiesa di Santa Maria della Pioggia - Piazzetta della Pioggia Complex of Sant’Ignazio (Art Gallery of Bologna) - Piazza Vittorio Puntoni Palazzo Isolani - Piazza Santo Stefano Palazzo Malvezzi De’ Medici - Piazza Rossini Palazzo della Mercanzia - Piazza della Mercanzia The projections: Thanks to the invaluable contribution of the Bologna Film Archive, the following films will be projected: Laurel and Hardy – Laurel and Hardy in the legendary dance performed in I fanciulli del West (Way Out West) Anita Ekberg who lets herself go to the notes of Adriano Celentano's rock in La Dolce Vita (The Good Life) Claudia Cardinale and Burt Lancaster in an exciting Waltz extracted from Il Gattopardo (The Leopard) Fred and Ginger in an amazing duo and the two tip tap dancers Giulietta Masina and Marcello Mastroianni in Ginger and Fred Sophia Loren and Vittorio de Sica with a brilliant Mambo extracted from Pane Amore and... (Scandal in Sorrento) Timetables: The 5-day festival includes 5 squares and 5 dance stories, part of the great cinema classics of the '900. The façades of the buildings will light up every day from 6 pm to 8 pm, every 15 minutes, with the exception of New Year's Eve - 31st December, 2019, when they will be lit from 6 pm to 1 am to welcome the New Year.
