Bologna
>>GUIDED TOURS IN ITALIAN ONLY<< A unique occasion to discover the underground Bologna. As every year, for about three weeks, the Consortium will interrupt the feeding of the ancient waterways of the city of Bologna in order to start maintenance work. With the lack of water in the Reno Canal, the Consortium, assisted by the Safety of Friends of the waterways and underground of Bologna, joining their skills and long-term experience in the sector, took the opportunity to organize of guided tours in the Bologna Underground. Through these routes, visitors will be introduced to the unexplored corners of the underground passages of the canal in the heart of Bologna, departing from the Cavaticcio Hydroelectric Plant until reaching the "Guazzatoio" in via Augusto Righi. The funds obtained through this cycle of visits will be reinvested by the Consortium in favor of other similar initiatives and in particular in the lighting project and night-time enhancement of the Reno Canal between Via Malcontenti and Via Oberdan.
