From 29 October to 7 November 2026, Bologna will host the 24th edition of Gender Bender, the international festival produced by Il Cassero LGBTQIA+ Centre and directed by Mauro Meneghelli. Ten days of dance, film, exhibitions, talks and parties dedicated to bodies, genders and desires, explored through the languages of contemporary art.
The festival returns to bring the city’s theatres, cinemas, museums and cultural venues to life, inviting the public to reflect on the themes that run through our lives, from relationships to the vitality of bodies, right through to their mortality.
