Castel del Rio Chestnut festival

The 68th edition of the Castel del Rio Chestnut Festival will be held on Sunday, October 6, 13, 20 and 27, 2024.

This event is not only an exhibition, but also represents a real festival dedicated to the chestnut, with product exhibitions and cultural evenings scheduled. The undisputed protagonists are chestnuts, which are offered in different recipes both at the stands set up in the square and in local restaurants.

Visitors can enjoy traditional specialties, such as “bruciati” and “capaltaz,” as well as innovative dishes created by the imagination of chefs and restaurateurs, who have been able to adapt the flavors of such a special product as the chestnut to the tastes of our times.
