Tracce di memoria - Figure nel Futuro

From 6 to 8 February 2026, on the occasion of ART CITY Bologna 2026, Spazio Arkeo in San Giorgio di Piano hosts the group exhibition Tracce di memoria, as part of the project Figure nel Futuro.

The exhibition Tracce di memoria presents a dialogue between the sculptures of ARKEO and the paintings of Maurizio Tangerini, a comparison in which memory becomes a guiding path to represent time in all its forms and anthropological connotations.

At the core of ARKEO’s research lies the archaic, primitive gesture, ancient by its very nature. His sculptures seem to emerge from a space suspended between matter and spirit. His forms do not represent, but reveal: they are presences that surface like archetypes, figures born from a process of listening to and liberating the material.

ARKEO’s works engage in dialogue with a selected group of paintings by Maurizio Tangerini, whose research focuses on the human figure as the place where memory finds its face. In his portraits and figures, Tangerini gives back what endures: a gesture, a gaze, an expression that preserves traces of identity, personal stories, and inner lives. His characters seem to emerge from a silent background, as if they were surfacings of a time that continues to settle, revealing humanity in its most intimate dimension.
