From 7 November 2026 to 10 January 2027, Palazzo Fava is hosting "Magnus: Heroes and Non-Heroes", an exhibition organised by Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio in Bologna and Opera Laboratori as part of the Genus Bononiae cultural project, dedicated to Roberto Raviola, known by his pen name Magnus (1939–1996), to mark the thirtieth anniversary of his death.
Curated by Luca Baldazzi, Michele Masini and Giovanni Nahmias and produced by Opera Laboratori, the exhibition traces the work of one of the greatest masters of Italian comics through the heroes and non-heroes who defined his career. The exhibition covers the Bolognese author’s entire body of work, with sections dedicated to Alan Ford, I Briganti and Lo Sconosciuto, to Magnus’s relationship with his city and with other key figures on the Bolognese scene such as Bonvi and Andrea Pazienza, and to the female characters who populate his stories. The highlight of the exhibition is the Texone – the 224 pages from the legendary Tex comic book drawn by Magnus, on which the author worked right up until a few days before his death. Also on display is the Lunario, the diary-calendar published in 1995.
