I AM I

"I AM I" is a journey into a world inhabited by intriguing subjects even if they are often considered marginal, irrelevant, transparent to society and the media.

Lina Pallotta's photographic exhibition I AM I, set up from 22 November to 2 December 2023 in the spaces of Atelier Sì (via San Vitale 69, Bologna), is a special event of the perAspera festival, organised by Nove Punti Aps within the framework of the LGBTQIA+ Collaboration Pact of Bologna City Council, in collaboration with the international photography festival Grenze Arsenali Fotografici in Verona.

On Wednesday 22 November at 7.00 p.m., the exhibition will be inaugurated through a dialogue between photographer Lina Pallotta and two of the protagonists of her photographs: Porpora Marcasciano, writer, President of the Equal Opportunities Commission of Bologna City Council and historical activist of the Transsexual Identity Movement (MIT), and Valerie Taccarelli, trans-feminist and human rights activist. The dialogue, moderated by Francesca Marra, will be further enriched by a reading by Fiorenza Menni, director, actress and co-founder of Ateliersi.
