Frontiera | 40 Italian Style Writing 1984-2024

The new exhibition Frontiera 40 Italian Style Writing 1984-2024, curated by Fabiola Naldi, has conducted in-depth research into the intellectual career of Francesca Alinovi (Parma, 1948 - Bologna, 1983), militant critic, researcher and scholar of the most relevant experimental creative phenomena around the 1970s and 1980s.
The initiative stems from an attempt to commemorate the fortieth anniversary of Arte di frontiera. New York Graffiti, an exhibition based on a project by Francesca Alinovi, which opened in 1984 at the Galleria comunale d'Arte Moderna in Bologna.
Frontiera exhibits the sketches of 178 authors, evidence of the creative process of several generations of Italian writers. The works on paper will be placed in "mobile" devices, eleven display cases, set up in different rooms of MAMbo.
