From August 13 to 15, 2023, the 69th edition of Ferragosto a Villa Revedin will be held in the Archbishop's Seminary Park. This year's edition takes its cue from the 150th anniversary of Alessandro Manzoni's death.
The meeting on August 13 at 6 p.m., with Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, will have as its theme "The thread that providence puts in our hands," to discover how providence also makes itself visible through facts and people of daily life, discovering up close two experiences linked to our city: the legacy of Don Mario Campidori, founder of "Sympathy and Friendship," and the incredible story of Eva Lappi.
On the afternoon of August 14, a reading of Manzoni's sacred hymn "La Pentecoste" will be offered by Don Adriano Pinardi, with a narration by Rossana Garavini Presti.
Three exhibitions will accompany these themes: the first reveals the world of "I Promessi Sposi" (The Betrothed), the second recalls Don Mario Campidori, and the third is dedicated to Mo Gian Paolo Bovina ten years after his death.
