From Saturday, February 28 to Saturday, April 4, 2026, Villa Davia (Colle Ameno - Pontecchio Marconi) will host the exhibition Piegato una volta sola (Folded Once), a collective program that also includes performances, screenings, guided tours, workshops, and concerts (curated by Istantanea Ensemble and WKO – Camerata degli Ammutinati).
The theme of the exhibition is “simplicity,” explored through the body, objects, geometry, signs, repetition, and rhythm: Piegato una sola volta (Folded Once) draws on the etymology of the word “simple,” attempting to restore to its meaning the inevitability of folding and concealment. Simplicity fights and loses the attribute of ease and accessibility. Simple is therefore that which attempts to fly over the origin, overcoming superstructures and stripping itself of exuberant baroque twists. There is no discovery or wonder without unfolding.
The exhibition, curated by Iside Calcagnile, presents the works of the following artists: Luca Angeloni, Cecilia Berto, Giovanna Bonenti, Beth Caimar, Mattia Giordano, Anna Groaz, Olga Lecci, Benedetta Manzi, Aurora Rotellini, and Sofiia Yesakova.
