The February meeting will illustrate some masterpieces by Guido Reni. The Bolognese painter was one of the most influential students of the Carracci Academy and a leading exponent of 17th-century Classicism. From the Massacre of the Innocents to the Pietà of the Mendicants, from Samson Victorious to the Plague Altarpiece and Ariadne: an extraordinary artistic journey celebrated by numerous poetic compositions of the era. → Participation is included in the entrance fee; no reservation required, subject to availability.
