The National Gallery of Bologna offers a series of tours or family activities to discover the museum's collections.
- Meeting Art Focus in English | Friday, June 12, 4:00 p.m.
The June edition of the museum’s English-language focus tour will offer an opportunity to discover some of the leading figures of Bolognese art between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Works by Vitale and the Pseudo Jacopino provide valuable insight into the vibrant artistic scene of the university city during the first half of the 14th century. Francesco Francia’s Nativity is a masterpiece commissioned by Giovanni II Bentivoglio, Lord of Bologna. Finally, through paintings by the Vivarini brothers, Perugino and Parmigianino, visitors will be able to appreciate the significant contributions of non-Bolognese masters to local painting.
Participation is free of charge, subject to availability, and no reservation is required.
