Piazza Maggiore - Indipendenza
From 5 to 15 February 2026, on the occasion of ART CITY Bologna and Arte Fiera, the eXtraBO event hall - dedicated to showcasing the metropolitan area of Bologna - will host the exhibition “Corpo Tessuto 01” by Bolognese artist Simone Miccichè (1989), curated by Federica Fiumelli and Francesco Liggieri.
The exhibition project presents a new and significant selection of works by the artist, who has his studio in Castiglione dei Pepoli in the Apennines, and whose pictorial research focuses on fabric as a symbolic, linguistic and corporeal place.
At the heart of the exhibition project, fabric is never simply a represented subject, but becomes a metaphor for painting itself: a sensitive surface, the skin of the world, an archive of cultural and political memories.
Miccichè's works are the result of a slow and analytical observation of the
weaves, folds and patterns that run through fabrics from different geographical and symbolic contexts – from the Middle East to North Africa, from Latin America to the industrial West.
