From March 24 to April 7, 2026, the Galleria Falcone e Borsellino 2/D in Bologna hosts the exhibition Cat Gallery.
Among the most perfect creatures, cats perceive sounds and sense intentions. Distinguished by their innate elegance, expressed in the shape of their bodies and the fluidity of their movements. They see in the dark, carriers of frequencies that, through their purring, play a therapeutic role, carefully choosing people and bonds they do not beg for, as they themselves attract.
Sinuous figures, venerated by the Egyptians and favored subjects of numerous artists—from Lotto to Barozzi, from Boldini to Klee—initially banned from art due to their association with witches and the devil, they later gained prominence in some of Leonardo’s drawings, which he defined as masterpieces of nature. From there came numerous representations, often in an illustrative key, presented with undeniable public interest and brought together in ‘Cat Gallery’, an exhibition recently held within Open Space at the historic Palazzo Pallavicini, whose success is renewed here, enriched by a wide variety of subjects, styles, and poses.
