ART BEATS - Bologna Civic Museums in Music

The ART BEATS project - I Musei di Bologna in Musica, promoted by Settore Musei Civici Bologna and dB Technologies, in collaboration with the Sistema Museale di Ateneo - Università di Bologna, returns to Bologna over two consecutive weekends on November 9/10 and 16/17, 2024.

Following the success of the first edition organized in 2023, this year's edition emphasizes creativity and experimentation in electronic music, which has historically developed under the Due Torri with a focus on high quality and research. It offers an immersive experience through the listening of site-specific sound installations and unique live performances across five museum locations in Bologna, all open with exceptionally free admission for all visitors.

For this year’s edition, six original sound installations have been created, inspired by five museums in the city that house permanent collections of various types:

- Museo Civico Archeologico

- Museo Civico Medievale

- Collezioni Comunali d'Arte

- Museo Civico d’Arte Industriale e Galleria Davia Bargellini

- Museo di Palazzo Poggi

Through the creation of a QR code, each composition will be permanently available at the associated museum, allowing interested visitors to download them during their visit.
