On Saturday, November 22, 2025, at TAG - Teatro a Granarolo at 9:00 p.m., the show “The Erased Man – Story of an Anarchist” by Compagnia Streben will be performed.
“The gentleman robber”—this was the nickname given to Horst Fantazzini, a symbolic figure of the anarchist movement. Son of Alfonso Libero Fantazzini, a proud anti-fascist and legendary figure of Bolognese anarchism, the young Horst soon began his life as a robber, targeting post offices and banks. The newspapers of the time helped forge his myth: he became the “kind and solitary bandit”, always remaining outside the circles of organized crime.
His overwhelming desire for freedom led him to escape multiple times and to accumulate years and years in prison—sentences perhaps excessive for someone who never committed murder and carried out robberies with fake weapons.
And what if he himself were to tell us his story, borrowing an actor’s body and giving us an hour of his freedom, forever reclaimed on the seat of his bicycle?
With Alessandro Pilloni and Filippo Marchi
