Frankenstein Junior - The musical

On Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Teatro Comunale di Castiglione dei Pepoli, the musical Young Frankenstein takes the stage.

Based on the masterpiece film of the same name by Mel Brooks, the musical stars Dr. Frederick Frankenstein, a New York medical professor who inherits a castle in Transylvania from his far more famous grandfather, Victor von Frankenstein. Upon traveling there—after trying to resist the ill-fated calling of his family—Frederick decides to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and recreate his experiment: giving life to an inanimate creature. With the help of the seductive assistant Inga and the loyal servant Igor, and under the stern supervision of the housekeeper Frau Blücher, he succeeds in his endeavor… but how will it all turn out?

In the musical, we rediscover the hilarious comedy of Mel Brooks, who is also the author of the music, making the show even more sparkling and winking at the great numbers of Broadway.
