Hansel e Gretel | Teatro Spazio Reno

On Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., the children’s play Hansel and Gretel will be performed at the Teatro Spazio Reno in Calderara di Reno (BO).

A house in the woods, a family in trouble.

Two children, alone, facing the harshness of the world and the darkness of the woods, are the protagonists of this classic fairy tale—ancient, very ancient, yet always urgent to tell, to experience, and to confront.

Why might we get lost in the woods? Why might the people we love most, whom we trust the most, end up abandoning us? Why might we have terrible encounters and face grave dangers when we are alone and far from home? And how can we face the greatest fears that lurk deep within our hearts? Hansel and Gretel are left to fend for themselves in the thick of a dark and dangerous forest, and no good fairy or magical object will come to save them—they must manage on their own. But they are not truly alone: they are together, holding hands, helping each other, finding courage… and bravely they will face their destiny…
