Bologna, a city of art that has always been attentive to the world of creativity, hosts many realities and spaces for all those who love to knit or crochet, together or alone, beginners or professionals.
Creativity, sustainability and wellbeing thus intertwine among the streets of Bologna to offer you a relaxing experience with the possibility of creating a unique garment to give or receive as a gift, just like a small work of art.
At Via Rialto 19/C is the Atelier della Lana, which offers carefully selected top quality yarns as well as a wide range of useful accessories for knitting and crocheting.
The Atelier also offers courses at all levels, making available all the experience gained over the years. Nina and Francesca are also available for advice and assistance both when choosing materials and projects and during the execution of the work.
In Strada Maggiore 77 is the perfect place for anyone who wants to stop by while sipping a cup of tea or coffee.
From breakfast to aperitifs, inside the café you will find a wide selection of fresh pastries, a menu of light meals perfect for lunch breaks, and rich buffet aperitifs with vegan and gluten-free choices.
Il Caffè dei gomitoli is also a yarn outlet with first-rate materials. This reality also offers the possibility of attending courses and workshops for every level, from basic to expert, with the possibility of also purchasing the Café's creations to be inspired by such as jumpers, scarves, swimwear, accessories, headphones and much more. Bespoke garments are also made with the possibility of choosing the yarn.

At 33 Via Mirasole, you will find Wool Done, the brainchild of graphic designer and knitwear enthusiast Giulia Boari, who began knitting at the age of ten; from there, she has continued to travel and participate in festivals and events abroad that have enabled her to adopt cutting-edge techniques.
Wool Done's shop and website are great for anyone in need of valuable, original and sought-after lessons, accessories and yarns. Wool Done currently teaches the art of knitting in Bologna and, in an itinerant manner, produces entirely hand-knitted garments, and creates a creative network among other artisans to combine knowledge in an innovative way, such as the creation of the Bologna Yarn Crawl festival.
Collettivo Rosole is a collective of textile artists active in Bologna since 2022.
The collective's name derives from the rosole plant, a spontaneous weed used in the poor countryside of Romagna.
The rosole collective has created a free community, building, through the practices of knitting and crochet, spaces of sociality and craftsmanship shared through various events, such as the crochet club. Events that take place, depending on the occasion, in different parts of the city, such as the independent contemporary art space Adiacenze or the Esprit Nouveau Pavilion.
