On Sunday 5 March 2023, the 42 km, 39 km, 21 km and 5 km of the second edition of the Bologna Marathon will take place, starting at 8.30 a.m. from Via Indipendenza.
Bologna welcomes runners from all over Italy for the big event and is preparing for the necessary modifications and vehicle detours to enjoy the marathon and the all city.

CLOCK TOWER AND MUNICIPAL ART COLLECTIONS
Visiting the Clock Tower and the Collezioni Comunali d'Arte the entrance will be moved from Piazza Maggiore to Via IV Novembre - exceptionally for 5 March 2023 - passing through the courtyard of Palazzo d'Accursio.
MOBILITY AND TRANSPORTS
If you are arriving by car or tourist bus, you will be subjected to vehicular interruptions.
The main avenues will always remain available in both directions with the only exceptions of:
- Viale Pietramellara (from Porta Lame to Via Milazzo)
- Viale Carducci (before 8:45 and after 11:30)
Tourist Bus: you can use Autostazione (Bus Coaches) to get on and off your visitors and park the bus for the day.
If you are travelling by bus, circulation is diverted from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with guaranteed runs. Check the timetables and the relevant vehicular deviations introduced on 5 March 2023.
