A pulsating heart of lights

Get ready to stroll through the streets of the historic centre, illuminated by warm lights that create a welcoming and festive atmosphere. From Piazza Maggiore to the most hidden alleys, every corner will be festively decorated, inviting you to immerse yourself in the Christmas spirit.

The most popular Christmas tree

The beating heart of Bologna, Piazza del Nettuno, will be festively dressed with the traditional Christmas tree, a special gift from the municipality of Lizzano in Belvedere. This year, the lighting ceremony will be held on 30 November at 6 pm, with Mayor Matteo Lepore kicking off the festivities.

The Asinelli Tower shines in a new light

Another new feature this year is the lighting of the Asinelli Tower despite the Garisenda building site, one of Bologna's most iconic symbols. Thanks to Confcommercio-Ascom, the tower will be lit up for the entire Christmas period, offering an unforgettable spectacle from 29 November.
