Bologna Welcome brings back the tourist information service in street

The service will be activated by Bologna Welcome on Friday-Saturday and Sunday from August 9th until September 29th, 2019, 23 days in total. It is a project of which the main characteristic is outdoor assistance for tourists during peak touristic periods. The paths provided with the “greeters” are: Via Rizzoli, Via Ugo Bassi, Via Indipendenza, Santo Stefano and Castiglione.

The Bologna Welcome staff will give general touristic information and distribute maps and brochures. They can be recognizable by the Bologna Welcome red vest.

The hours of the service is from 10am to 5:30pm.

The service will see the distribution of the following materials:

  • touristic maps of the historic centre of Bologna (in various languages)
  • directions of major museums with opening hours and closing hours
  • directions of major attractions (e.g. the Due Torri, squares, churches, restaurants and shops)
  • directions of Bologna Welocome’s office in Piazza Maggiore (open from Monday to Saturday from 9am to 7pm, on Sunday and holidays from 10am to 5pm)
