Rocca Corneta

Located at the furthermost edge of the Municipality of Lizzano in Belvedere, Rocca Corneta is much more than a simple village. It can be rather considered as a collection of different locations, small hamlets and houses spread all over the territory. This characteristic is closely connected to the agricultural vocation of this area, still deeply rooted in the social fabric.

The list of places you should not miss begins with the beautiful parish church, dedicated to San Martino di Tours, built before the 16th century and restored in the postwar period. Nearby, on the mountain edge, you can visit the majestic tower of 14th century, an important testimony of the place’s importance during the Middle Ages, located along the road to Tuscany.

You should also consider visiting the manifold hamlets and oratories of the district, such as Camposalice, Prà della Villa, La Torre and i Fiocchi.
