The Sun Route

This cycle route connects Bologna with the rest of Europe (EuroVelo7), along the directrix North Cape-Malta. The track Mirandola-Bologna runs along the former railway Verona-Bologna, in perfect communion with the rural landscape of the Po Plain, among fields, waterways, small historic towns, art, food excellences and protected natural areas, true oases for birdwatching lovers. It’s considered as one of the first Italian destinations for bicycle tourism! Now available the route Mirandola-Sala Bolognese.

Soon to be implemented by a route in the Apennines, currently under construction, meant to connect Bologna with the Tuscan-Emilian ridges, now reachable only by expert cyclists or by train.
