Tiziana Sassoli established the Fondantico gallery in 1992 and she has been dealing in Old Master paintings for over twenty five years; specializing in the italian school especially in the emilian area from XVI to XVIII century. Particular attention to quality and condition of the works of art is the main concern of the acquisition policy and the results arouse national and worldwide collectors and museums’s interest. The gallery’s reputation has been built exactly on these rigorous standards by which the paintings are selected. The gallery holds regular exhibitions accompanied by scholarly catalogues that are fully researched and illustrated which not only stimulate art historical discussion, but also bring in new areas of connoisseurship and collection. Close collaboration with art historians and museums demonstrates the gallery’s success in working with Institutions, including bank foundations and museums. Advice and guidance to collectors, passionate about Italian art, are an important part of the gallery’s service. Tiziana Sassoli takes part regularly at the major national art fairs by which she maintains continuous connection with the Institutions which have purchased from her. In the last year the gallery has become increasingly active with modern and contemporary art, and moves to a new premises in a historical sixteenth century’s palace. This new business line offers several and more art services such as an estimation and valuation centre for works of art, based on a current knowledge of the art market, projects for new collections, art law consulting, and restoration matters’s advices.
