Sboccata dei Bagnadori

The site of Sboccata dei Bagnadori owes its popularity to the homonymous lodge and to archaeological finds dating back to the Middle Neolithic era.

Despite its relatively hard-to-reach position, especially in the past, this area has been uninterruptedly inhabited by humans, as evidenced by these 8000 years-old finds, which include arrowheads, scrapers and flintstones.

The lodge, located deep in the woods at an altitude of 1274 m above s.l. on a ridge splitting the Valle del Dardagna and the Alta Vale del Silla, is furnished with two dormitories and 14 beds, a kitchen with gas burners, sink and dishes, toilet facilities and a heater. A freshwater spring is also available just in front of the building. Stays at the lodge are bookable all year round, whereas the emergency bivouac, equipped with hearth and a table, is always open, 24h a day a 365days a year.
