Società Dante Alighieri

The Dante Alighieri Society (Società Dante Alighieri), founded in 1889, promotes the Italian language and culture around the world. It offers Italian courses both online and in person, thanks to its global network of 370 Committees abroad, 142,000 members, 270 PLIDA examination centers, 40 schools abroad, and 5 schools in Italy.

The Bologna School, located at its new premises in Via Zamboni 18, has been offering in-person Italian language courses for 11 years—both individual and group classes—for all levels of language proficiency. These courses also allow students to obtain a visa for study purposes.

Furthermore, the Bologna School is also a PLIDA Examination Center. PLIDA is the Certification of Competence in the Italian Language recognized by the Italian Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Labor, Education, University, and Research.
