The recomposed work will be on display from 25 October 2018 to 19 January 2019 in the Palazzo Magnani Quadreria, as part of the initiatives promoted by UniCredit and Fondazione del Monte of Bologna and Ravenna to enhance the artistic heritage of the historic Bolognese building. Marco Riccòmini, art historian and art advisor for great European collectors, is the curator of the exhibition "Il Gandolfi halved". Through his research has allowed to reconstruct the painting that was decomposed over two centuries ago. "Among the many cuts that even famous works have undergone over the centuries - he explains - as far as I know, the one concerning the Gandolfi altarpiece is the only case in the world whose main elements have been identified. What we do not know is precisely when the cut happened, even if we can imagine why: sell the blade as two distinct paintings ". For further information visit quadreriapalazzomagnani.it
