From June 22 to July 4, 2026, the Piazza Coperta of Biblioteca Salaborsa hosts the photographic exhibition Il Liberty bolognese (Bologna Art Nouveau) by Giancarlo Pulitanò.
Giancarlo Pulitanò was born in Gioia Tauro (Reggio Calabria) on July 9, 1955. He moved to Bologna in the first half of the 1970s to study Medicine.
Alongside his medical career, he has always cultivated his great passion for photography. In 2010, he joined the Circolo Fotografico Petroniano, where he became known for the sensitivity and attention to detail that characterize his nature photography.
In the exhibition Bologna Art Nouveau, the photographer takes visitors on a journey through the streets both inside and outside the historic city centre, presenting images that capture views, buildings and architectural details showcasing the originality of the Art Nouveau style in Bologna.
