Bologna
STREET/FRAMES is a project conceived and curated by Home Movies + Giuseppe De Mattia for the sixth edition of ART CITY Bologna. Through dilatation in the time and in the space of rediscovered images, Via Zamboni and the architectural elements that characterize the street are transformed into an original vision device, having variable pitch and speed that offer a deferred and expanded way of enjoying some archival frame sequences. A selection of sequences of 8mm and 16mm films from the Home Movies Archive, among thousands of films recorded in Bologna by many amateur cine-eyes, which become collectors of moments and details to be returned to the city and to the eyes of its inhabitants.
